The 2017 International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion “Christie Lenée” is a captivating performer with a devoted following among instrumental, folk and rock band audiences. Combining guitar virtuosity, lyrical storytelling and passion for positivity, she elevates crowds with blissful inspiration and a fire of musicality.
Christie’s unique guitar work and profound instrumental compositions are well described as ‘Michael Hedges meets Joni Mitchell and Dave Matthews.’ Her lyrics are consciously uplifting, powerful and stick in your head as soon as you hear them. With a menu of percussive and sonic effects, and larger than life sounding instruments, her solo shows are said to embody an entire universe of music.
Christie’s pieces have been showcased at the NAMM Show in Anaheim and Nashville, live on National Television and Radio, and on stage with artists such as Tim Reynolds (guitarist for Dave Matthews Band), Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel, Amy Ray from the Indigo Girls, and Stanley Jordan to name a few. Her most recent album “STAY” was one of three finalists for “Best CD of 2016” (Indie Acoustic Project Awards), including the song “Love Who You Are” nominated for a 2016 Posi Award in the category “Songs for Personal Transformation.”
Christie spent most of 2017 on tour in the US, Australia, and many countries around Asia. She’s now back in the studio preparing for her next release with a deeply heartfelt collection of new material. Meanwhile her album “STAY” is still making traction, including 3 instrumental pieces produced by the legendary and Multi-Grammy Award Winning Producer Will Ackerman (founder of Windham Hill Records). These glorious instrumental pieces vary, from “Soaring Over Glacier Bay” with 27 cellos and a symphonic essence, to “Sunset Rebirth” with a bamboo flute, and the simplicity of “Sweet Little Piece” on the 12 string Veillette Gryphon Guitar.
The title track “Stay” shines a bright light on suicide awareness and prevention. Christie’s message is that every person is special and has something unique to contribute to this world. In her own words: “I intend to translate to the listener that it’s okay to go through rough times. In those moments when you feel like running… whether from a job, a relationship, or running from life itself… Take a breath. Stay, and know that there is another way. You’re the only one who can be you.”

Online tickets sales close at 6pm the night of the show. Any remaining tickets are for sale at Boulevard Music when doors open At 7:30pm unless noted otherwise. Tickets may also be purchased in person at Blvd Music or by phone (310) 398-2583 using a major credit card.
A $3 service charge per ticket is added to online and phone orders. All ticket sales are final. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. For online ticket purchases, you will need to provide the ticket barcode for entry. Please print your ticket or display the barcode on your phone.
Please note all shows start at 8pm and doors open at 7:30pm unless indicated otherwise. People who already have their tickets (purchased them in advance) get in first when doors open at 7:30 pm. After the people who already have their tickets are admitted any remaining tickets will go on sale.
