BILL BURNETT SINGS LEONARD COHEN

Bill Burnett is a modest creative gem with an unreal resume of projects he has produced or written over the years. This creative force within him makes him truly a fabulous performer and storyteller making this particular performance more than someone just playing the Leonard Cohen catalog of songs. Being the creative director of Fred/Alan he generated satirical campaigns for MTV, Nick-at-Nite, and Comedy Central. He in fact came up with the name Comedy Central. He has written several songs including theme songs for various shows over the years and also sang several of them and did acting voices on many episodes.

The show will feature Rhiannon Lewis on vocals and percussion, Randon Davitt on Bass, Geoff Levin on Guitar and keyboards and Michael Levine on Violin. And of course Bill Burnett on guitar and vocals.

A note about Leonard Cohen from Gary Mandell,
I went with a friend to see Leonard Cohen and was expecting to experience a real downer evening of music based on my limited exposure to his music at the time. “Suzanne takes you down, etc”. WRONG! It was one the wittiest and fun concerts I can ever remember going to. I became an instant huge fan. With Bill Burnett’s wit and charm the songs are in good hands and ready to perform.
