Composer, pianist, vocalist, educator, and pilot, Kate Kohler is an advocate of fearlessness and music. She is an active composer, performer and recording artist. In 2015 she released her 7th solo CD Wake Up! Songs for a Rainy Day, an eclectic collection of original songs for voice and piano, jazz standards and holiday songs. Before she moved to LA from Montana she composed a series of 3 piano CD’s for her acupuncturist called Lullabies for Grownups. Kate performs her own original songs around Los Angeles, plays Classical and Jazz piano, sings jazz and barbershop whenever the opportunity arises, and writes songs for Interactive theatre, film, and television.
Ted Owens plays and teaches an assortment of different styles of guitar from Flamenco (Ted studied with Adam del Monte) and Classical to Rock (classic and modern) and Blues. With over 25 years of experience as a teacher as well as a recording artist and touring musician Ted is a wealth of knowledge for anyone wanting a diverse background on guitar.Tonight Ted will feature some of his original compositions and covers.
Chris “Hammer” Smith has been teaching and playing harmonica for over 25 years. Comfortable playing and teaching in several styles including blues, jazz, country, pop, and more, he has recorded with numerous bands and solo artists. His credits include playing harmonica on Paul McCartney’s and Michael Jackson’s #1 hit “Say, Say, Say”, as well as other recordings of Paul McCartney, Gary Wright, Dolly Parton, Smokey Robinson, and John Hiatt. Online tickets sales close at the night of the show. Any remaining tickets are for sale at Boulevard Music when doors open At unless noted otherwise. Tickets may also be purchased in person at Blvd Music or by phone (310) 398-2583 using a major credit card.
A $1 service charge per ticket is added to online and phone orders. All ticket sales are final. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. For online ticket purchases, you will need to provide the ticket barcode for entry. Please print your ticket or display the barcode on your phone.
Please note all shows start at 8pm and doors open at 7:30pm unless indicated otherwise. People who already have their tickets (purchased them in advance) get in first when doors open at 7:30 pm. After the people who already have their tickets are admitted any remaining tickets will go on sale.
Please note that taking photos or any other type of recording is not allowed during performances at Boulevard Music.
