OTHER MOTHER BROTHER BAND + CROOKED

Other Mother Brother Band is an eclectic instrumental short-form jam band based out of Los Angeles. OMBB weaves together influences from bluegrass, world, Latin jazz, reggae, rock, funk and classical music to form their unique sound that has delighted audiences from Southern California to Yosemite to Colorado.
It began in 2008 when the group of dedicated musicians came together to play music that inspires them. Consistent gigging and local residencies gave them a chance to develop their sound and build a following of folks who get down to their toe-tapping, make-your-body-move instrumentals.
No two OMBB shows are alike as each of these five stellar musicians gets a chance to shine in the spotlight. The band boasts 2-time Bass Player of the Year and nominations for Best Instrumental Band and Best Instrumental Album (LA Music Awards).

Plus Crooked, a Roots-Folk, Old Time, Irish and Bluegrass band from Southern California, formed in 2012 with the intention of bringing a new, percussion-infused stringband feel to the Contradance scene in SoCal. After a few years honing their sound and lineup, and hundreds of hours playing for dancers, they’ve become a highly celebrated and much requested musical group in their home community of San Diego. Crooked’s members have a wide background, ranging from Afro-Cuban to Irish to Electronic to Classical, which results in a unique energetic sound. Crooked will feature music from their recent new album, ‘To the Dancing Ground’
