The fabulous instrumental group the Aristocats who will also be backing up the superb chromatic harmonica player Chris Smith.

CHRIS SMITH has done a ton of recording session work including his first big name artist, Sammy Hagar on his debut Fillmore Shuffle album. His first very successful local band Hot Lips and Fingertips established a 10 year residency at Santa Monica Irish Pub O’Mahony’s that they packed 4 nights a week. Lee Oskar of War recommended him to Michael Jackson who was recording a duet with Paul McCartney, ” Say, Say, Say”. Chris played the soulful solo on the tune and it went on to sell 4.6 million copies. Other credits include playing on a duet with Smokey Robinson and Dolly Parton, several songs with Rickie Lee Jones produced by Walter Becker of Steely Dan; Art Garfunkel, Regina Belle, Queen Latifah, and many others. He has also done a ton of TV /film work including Murphy Brown,In The Heat Of The Night end credits, all episodes of The Oldest Rookie.
He did two blues rock albums for the German label Herman “Down But Not Out ” and “Livin’ On My Own”. Played the Waterfront Blues festival in Portland OR and got a standing ovation. He has performed live on stage with Albert King, Johnny Winter, Bonnie Raitt, Joe Turner and Mick Taylor.

BOBBY PIERCE, His career has taken him through hundreds of cities and dozens of countries becoming a Master of the Hammond B3. Performing for years in Chicago and New York and with a career spanning decades, Bobby has toured with Clark Terry, Benny Carter, Tom Scott, The Brecker Brothers, Eddie Daniels, Louie Bellson, Frank Foster, Art Blakey,, The Four Tops, and Paul Robeson. Other tours have included backing Etta James, Benny King, The Four Tops, Joe Williams, Dionne Warwick, and many, many others. As a recording Artist, Bobby has produced a number of iconic albums as leader and is a featured Artist on many classic recordings.

DAVID MARCUS was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved at an early age to Oakland, California. A guitarist since age 6, David has been a seminal innovator of technologies for visual and sonic media in Hollywood. As founder of the Aristocats, David has reinvented himself as a full time guitarist, mentor and teacher. Performing at legendary venues such as the Village Vanguard, David has worked with Cedar Walton, David Williams, Chuck Manning, Joel Taylor, Nokie Edwards, Sal Marquez, Del Casher, Roger Kellaway, Clarence Johnston, Joe Farnsworth, Marcel Ivery and Art Hillary among many other music notables.

PAUL KREIBICH Noted Los-Angeles-born drummer PAUL KREIBICH began his career touring the U.S. and Japan with legendary Carmen McRae, a tour that culminated in a concert at Carnegie Hall. Paul studied at Orange Coast College, Berklee College of Music, L.A. City College, and privately with Fred Gruber. He later traveled internationally with the Ray Charles Orchestra for several years before and touring with Mose Allison, The Woody Herman Band, Anita O’Day, Red Rodney, Rosemary Clooney, Nancy Wilson, and the Gene Harris Quartet. Paul’s studio credits include recordings with Bill Perkins, Dianne Reeves, Charlie Shoemake, Jon Hendricks, Ray Charles, Herb Geller, James Moody, Kenny Burrell and Gene Harris. Paul is the author of the books “The Drummer’s Handbook,” and “Duets for Drums”. He has been a Cal State Fullerton music faculty member since 2002 and a private instructor at Boulevard Music as well.

Online tickets sales close at 6pm the night of the show.  Any remaining tickets are for sale at Boulevard Music when doors open At 7:30pm unless noted otherwise.  Tickets may also be purchased in person at Blvd Music or by phone (310) 398-2583 using a major credit card. 

A $3 service charge per ticket is included in the price for online and phone orders. All ticket sales are final. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. For online ticket purchases, you will need to provide the ticket barcode for entry. Please print your ticket or display the barcode on your phone.

Please note all shows start at 8pm and doors open at 7:30pm unless indicated otherwise. People who already have their tickets (purchased them in advance) get in first when doors open at 7:30 pm. After the people who already have their tickets are admitted any remaining tickets will go on sale.

Please note that taking photos or any other type of recording is not allowed during performances at Boulevard Music.
