Benny Brydern shares his passion for 1930s jazz and his phenomenal quartet is filled with all-stars playing vintage swing at its very best! Composer, producer, performer Benny Brydern studied violin and piano at the Richard-Strauss Academy of Music in Munich. He was invited to the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival to perform in the Festival Orchestra under the baton of Leonard Bernstein in 1988. He returned to the Festival in 1990 for the TV series “Orchestra!” hosted by Sir Georg Solti and Dudley Moore.

He has performed with many vintage jazz ensembles in Los Angeles like Janet Klein & Her Parlor Boys, Dean Mora’s Orchestra, Alex Mendham’s Dance Orchestra, Jonathan Stout Band, Lizzy and the Triggermen to mention a few. He has recorded five albums to date featuring his brilliant violin virtuosity. His film compositions include the music for Jon Voight’s film “The Tin Soldier”, the Miramax Documentary “Rhyme & Reason” and several award winning independent feature films.This concert will feature Ray Bergstrom (Django specialist) on acoustic guitar, Frank Petrilli on accordion, and Marquis Howell on double bass. Come fall in love with the music of Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt’s Hot Club Du France.

Online tickets sales close at 6pm the night of the show.  Any remaining tickets are for sale at Boulevard Music when doors open At 7:30pm unless noted otherwise.  Tickets may also be purchased in person at Blvd Music or by phone (310) 398-2583 using a major credit card. 

A $3 service charge per ticket is added to online and phone orders. All ticket sales are final. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. For online ticket purchases, you will need to provide the ticket barcode for entry. Please print your ticket or display the barcode on your phone.

Please note all shows start at 8pm and doors open at 7:30pm unless indicated otherwise. People who already have their tickets (purchased them in advance) get in first when doors open at 7:30 pm. After the people who already have their tickets are admitted any remaining tickets will go on sale.

Please note that taking photos or any other type of recording is not allowed during performances at Boulevard Music.
