First internationally recognized as lead guitarist in Beatle Paul McCartney’s band Wings (with whom he earned a Grammy award), Laurence Juber has since established himself as world-renowned guitar virtuoso, composer and arranger.
Juber, known to his fans as LJ, has released 22 solo albums. Fusing folk, jazz,and pop styles, two-time Grammy-winner Laurence Juber creates a multifaceted performance that belies the use of only one acoustic guitar. Voted #1 Guitarist by the readers of Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine, Juber offers superb arrangements of pop and classic songs.
Juber, known to his fans as LJ, has released 22 solo albums. The latest, Under an Indigo Sky (Solid Air Records) is a jazz/blues tinged studio album that was mixed at Hollywood’s legendary Capitol Studios by top jazz recording engineer Al Schmitt and first released only on vinyl. His concurrent release from the same label Catch LJ Live!, is a two-disc combo that captures one exciting solo concert performance in 5.1 video and on CD. LJ Plays The Beatles, was voted one of Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s all-time Top Ten albums. Juber’s solo arrangement of The Pink Panther Theme earned him a second Grammy. His arrangement of Stand By Me was heard nationally in a Diamonds Are Forever commercial. His DVD-Audio project Guitar Noir (AIX Records) won a CES Demmy award for best sound.
As a studio musician, he can be heard on recordings from artists as diverse as Dan Hicks & the Hot Licks, Seal and Barry Manilow, plus he is featured on the soundtracks to hundreds of TV shows such as Home Improvement and movies including the academy award-winning Dirty Dancing, Good Will Hunting and Pocahontas.
Juber co-composed the soundtrack of the award-winning video game Diablo III and crafted the score to the NBC Dateline documentary Children Of The Harvest. His music is also featured in the Ken Burns’ documentary The Tenth Inning.
With his wife Hope Juber, he has composed the scores to the musical comedies Gilligan’s Island: The Musical, A Very Brady Musical and It’s The Housewives!
Online tickets sales close at the night of the show. Any remaining tickets are for sale at Boulevard Music when doors open At unless noted otherwise. Tickets may also be purchased in person at Blvd Music or by phone (310) 398-2583 using a major credit card.
A $1 service charge per ticket is added to online and phone orders. All ticket sales are final. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. For online ticket purchases, you will need to provide the ticket barcode for entry. Please print your ticket or display the barcode on your phone.
Please note all shows start at 8pm and doors open at 7:30pm unless indicated otherwise. People who already have their tickets (purchased them in advance) get in first when doors open at 7:30 pm. After the people who already have their tickets are admitted any remaining tickets will go on sale.
