The Dave McKelvy Trio - Recorded Live at Boulevard Music

The Dave McKelvy Trio is an eclectic group of musicians borrowing a concept of the early to mid-20th Century, and projecting it into the new Millennium. With its forward thinking ideas, this trio of harmonica artists, using the most common musical instrument familiar to children and adults alike, is adapting it to the sounds of pop, swing, country, jazz, and the light classics.

David McKelvy is heralded among his peers as a world-class harmonicist playing diatonic and chromatic harmonica. With his imaginative solo techniques, he is in constant demand and can be heard on TV, radio, and motion pictures both as a soloist, and session player on recordings with such notables as Brian Wilson, Stanley Clark, Nelson Riddle, Terrence Blanchard, Leon Redbone, Judy Collins, etc.

Michael Burton who is regarded as the best accompanist on chord harmonica today is a groove machine. Michael is also an accomplished artist on both chromatic and diatonic harmonicas, as well as the 4-hole mini harmonica. He is an alumnus of the famed Harmonica Rascals, starring Johnny Puleo.

Danny Wilson on bass harmonica is the anchor for the band. His virtuosity includes having played with the famed Jerry Murad's Harmonicats, and is widely known as the best bass harmonica player in the world with his solid rhythms and bass patterns that create the foundation for the trio's rhythmic harmonies.
