ART PODELL
Art Podell turns 90 in October, and he’s decided to spill the beans. He’s a late fifties and early sixties original Greenwich Village folkie, one-half of the groundbreaking Columbia Records folk duet, Art and Paul. 1961 brought him to Los Angeles where the folk music rage was just beginning. Art and Paul were the first folk singers to entertain at The Troubadour. He signed a songwriting contract with Henry Mancini and did nicely, writing for folk artists like the Smothers Brothers, Glenn Yarbrough, Rod McKuen, and Art was one of the founding members of The New Christy Minstrels, an experience that took him on a wild journey of music, laughter and drama.
Art’s show is a peek at the often-hysterical world of the folk era from early Greenwich Village to the Hollywood Bowl, National TV and even The White House. It’s a spoken-musical experience that will leave you laughing and humming the old songs again.

Online tickets sales close at 6pm the night of the show. Any remaining tickets are for sale at Boulevard Music when doors open At 7:30pm unless noted otherwise. Tickets may also be purchased in person at Blvd Music or by phone (310) 398-2583 using a major credit card.
A $3 service charge per ticket is included in the price for online and phone orders. All ticket sales are final. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. For online ticket purchases, you will need to provide the ticket barcode for entry. Please print your ticket or display the barcode on your phone.
Please note all shows start at 8pm and doors open at 7:30pm unless indicated otherwise. People who already have their tickets (purchased them in advance) get in first when doors open at 7:30 pm. After the people who already have their tickets are admitted any remaining tickets will go on sale.
Please note that taking photos or any other type of recording is not allowed during performances at Boulevard Music.
