WHOLE HOG

Saturday, September 26 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
$28

Whole Hog is a Ventura-based string band that performs timeless favorites and eclectic selections from the roots of American music. Their sound blends traditional bluegrass with Irish tunes, vintage jazz, yodeling, country, western swing, honky-tonk, original songs, and the occasional special request. Whether performing at festivals, parties, or corporate events, the band gets audiences on the dance floor with entertaining shows, instrumental virtuosity, rich vocal harmonies, and an infectious camaraderie. Formed in 2020 during the pandemic, Whole Hog quickly emerged as a compelling new voice in the Southern California acoustic music scene. The band consists of Seth Andrey Oster (guitar, vocals), Charletta Erb (fiddle, vocals), Keith Frankel (banjo), and Corey Highberg (upright bass, vocals). They have performed at the Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival, Huck Finn Jubilee, Gilley’s Saloon Las Vegas, Coffee Gallery Backstage, San Diego Folk Heritage, Great 48 Festival, the Rubicon Theatre, Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, South State 48 Festival, Lost Chord Guitars, Namba Arts, Little House on the Prairie Festival, and were the featured bluegrass band in Dark of the Moon: The Musical. Whole Hog won the 52nd Annual Santa Barbara Old-Time Fiddlers Festival Band Contest (2024) and the Topanga Banjo & Fiddle Festival Band Contest (2025). Whole Hog will be joined by special guest Joshua Bergman. Josh draws from an eclectic musical background rooted in both traditional and academic styles, bringing a fresh yet familiar approach to his original music and a heartfelt, personal interpretation of classic songs and standards.
